Care & Preservation

"Our natural fibers are alive. With gentle care, they grow softer and more intimate with time."

General Philosophy

Natural fibers do not require aggressive laundering. Frequently, simple airing on a balcony in cool shade will refresh wool, raw silk, and desert flax completely.

Raw Silk & Sandwashed Cupro

Dry clean using eco-solvents only or hand wash in cold water with plant-based pH-neutral silk soap. Do not wring or twist. Lay flat on clean white towels to dry away from direct sunlight.

Fine Wool Outerwear

Brush coats gently with a soft boar bristle garment brush after wearing. Always store in the provided cedar-lined cotton garment shroud to prevent moth damage.

Desert Washed Linen

Wash in lukewarm water on delicate cycle. Embracing natural wrinkles is part of the living character of A'LEA linens. Lightly steam if desired, avoiding hot pressed iron lines.
